'no sign' tokyo exhibition by nosigner

'no sign' installation

‘no sign’ was the first independent exhibition of the japanese designer, nosigner. the show was held at tokyo’s
living design center from april 10-22. the show featured a number of nosigner’s products and a large expansion
on his ‘fluoless’ concept made from used fluorescent lights. ‘kyo’ was one of the products on show, combining
mirrored glass and a traditional japanese mirror-like finish to create a full length mirror. ‘spring rain’ is a lighting
fixture made from biodegradable plastic which is modeled after asian vermicelli noodles. ‘arborism’ is a small
table with a branch like form used on its four legs which is made more organic by sitting below ‘pokkari’, a lamp
shade designed to imitate clouds. ‘en’ is paper pot stand which uses a honeycomb fold to provide stability.

designboom has previously featured nosigner’s ‘fluoless’ installation and his booth at seoul design week 2007
