as part of design miami/basel 2008 moss, new york presented studio job’s collections ‘homework’ , ‘robber baron’ and ‘perished’.designboom managed to arrive just in time to see the unwrapping of the works inside the markthalle.

part domestic utility, part heroic sculpture, precious hand-wrought common household objects are magnified
to exalted proportions, rendered in polished bronze, and placed upon aged wooden pedestals.
newly re-created through a sanctioned, classical ‘artistic process,’ these elegantly-rendered portraits of
anonymous 20th century industrial designs diligently follow the academic rules of art, digressing only in their
radical choice of subjects and in their apparent visual indifference. created as a suite of eight works, each
is offered in a limited edition of five, exclusive to moss.
