dutch designer thomas linssen likes to experiment with materials and the production process. through his experimentation he has designed the ‘concrete kitchen’, a cooking island. when making the ‘concrete kitchen’ a textile mould is created with all the appropriate dimensions and the concrete is then cast. the shape is not structured so the concrete flows in many directions creating different textures. ‘the concrete kitchen’ can be custom designed and be used both indoors and outdoors.
