'witness flat: a poor haute couture' by jurgen bey

designws recently visited jurgen bey's latest exhibit 'witness flat: a poor haute couture'
at pierre bergé auctions in brussels, belgium. the show began on june 12th and will
continue until june 30th. the exhibition space was transformed into a model apartment
sporting furniture and accessories made using dutch wood and wool. the show is a
collaboration between studio makkink and bey that was commissioned by the gallery.
the project was described by bey as being something new, which 'gradually revealed
itself'. the collection references the fur trade, which the gallery once housed while also
looking at the idea of packaging. the aesthetic is also somewhat modern, referencing
a pixelated cut and paste style.
