new glass carafes by etienne meneau
‘carafe no. 5’
late last year we featured the unusually shaped wine carafes by french designer
etienne meneau. for 2008 meneau has created two new designs in the same series.
‘carafe no. 5’ and ‘carafe no. 6’ are both more complex than the previous editions.
‘carafe no. 5’ is the most intricate to date, featuring two sides which resemble the
roots of a tree or veins in the body. both are available in limited editions.

looks great, but does not what carafes are really made for. You need a large surface, where whine and air mix so that the wine is able to "breath". IMHO form follows function is not achieved here
