otl aicher olympic poster collection

graphic designer otl aicher is perhaps best known for his iconic designs for the 1972
munich olympics. that year’s games were symbolized by aicher’s bold colours and
reduced resolution images seen on posters, billboards and more. he was also
responsible for the signage, wayfinding and logoset. this flickr gallery features a wide
selection of his work for the games. only time will tell if the 2008 design work will have
a similar lasting impression.
