coffee is one of the most consumed beverages world wide. in new zealand alone, 140 tonnes of coffee beans are roasted each week. antaahua has decided to take their country’s addiction and turn it into a good thing. in collaboration with coffee roasters, ataahua has found some ways to up cycle the durable woven coffee sacks. the jute bags have been transformed into chic lampshades, caps and bags by craftsmen, giving the unassuming material a second life.
