london design festival 08 preview: benjamin hubert


‘diamond’ chair is upholstered in bute tweed on walnut and oak veneered backs with a steel frame

UK designer benjamin hubert has been very busy this past year and he will be showing off the results
during this year’s london design festival. despite being a young and independent designer, hubert will
be launching 6 new products at this year’s festival. at 100% futures he will showcase his ‘material
centric’ collection which features the ‘diamond’ chair, ‘lily pad’ tables, ‘fold’ magazine rack, ‘labware’
lamps and the ‘yumbrella’ fruit bowl. his other new product line ‘heavy’ lights will be on show at
decode london. hubert also told designboom that the making process was very important to the
design of his new pieces.
