the ‘pappa*phone’ is the latest in the hulger collection. being touted as the world’s first wooden
VoIP phone, the ‘pappa*phone’ is made from american walnut and solid brass by the montreal
based studio, furni. the design is the first new hulger design in three years. like all their previous
products, the ‘pappa*phone’ is designed to ‘wear in’ not ‘wear out’. like other wood products,
the phone will get better with age. each phone is hand-made to order from a single piece of wood,
matching the flow of the wood grain on the phone and base. the phone is USB based and works
on mac and PC computers. the limited edition phone is available in the hulger shop for 300 USD.
if you want to see it in person, the phone will be on show during the upcoming london design
festival at ‘beyond the valley’ from september 13-23, 2008.
