raw edges duo yael mer and shay alkalay designed 'tailored wood' a range of furniture that is custom made
to fit its user be it tall, short, skinny or fat. using a technique borrowed from the clothing industry a pattern
is generated and assembled with the resulting void being filled with foam. it is a reversal of upholstery as
material is normally applied over the stuffing.

also featured was furniture and lighting by tomas alonoso. his 'mr light series' was designed around the new led
t8 tube light bulbs. the light bulbs are more energy efficient and durable than standard fluorescent bulbs
and allow for more flexibility with the design. his 'no 7 chair' is made using traditional steam bent wood
techniques.
