tom dixon together with upholster george smith launched his new wingback chair range,
during the london design festival. for the show the pair transformed a knightsbridge ballroom
into an upholstery factory where visitors had the chance to watch skilled craftsmen produce
the furniture onsite. employing centuries old techniques the tom dixon wingback chair
is handmade using sustainable wood, cotton and feather. also on display were the various
stages of production of the wingback chairs. the chair is upholstered with mohair velvet
and is available in 12 different colors.
tom dixon will also be having its first ever sample sale this friday and saturday. lighting and
furniture will be on sale to the public at 5 cromwell place in london. an opportune moment
for a london design festival souvenir perhaps?
