london design festival 08: thelermont hupton at 100% design


'hand jobs', coat hooks

british design duo david hupton and yve thelermont set up their company back in 2003. since then
they have produced collections that include furniture, interior accessories, lighting and tableware.
the materials and forms they employ range from crafted wood through blown glass to moulded plastics.
at 100% design they displayed a range of coat stands and hooks. 'hand jobs' is a series of coat hooks
and wall art based on gestures that include thumbs up, wave, fist, shake, OK, up yours, point, peace
and hand job. 'upwardly mobile' is a series of coat stands that include human figurines climbing up the stand.
