'document chair' by rita



rita is a montreal, canada based multidisciplinary design studio which works with graphics,
products and furniture design. while their ‘folder chair’ isn’t a mjor innovation in folding chair design,
the studio has cleverly added small tabs to the seat pans to make the chairs look like document
folders. one chair on its own is an open folder, while stacking the chairs creates the effect of a file
drawer. the simple text adds the finishing touch and can even be used to signify who the chair
belongs to.
