the hotel's reception area is located behind the metal screens of the new lobby's design

CURIOSITY inc. has designed the main lobby and two restaurants, 'cafe in the park' and 'the dining',
in the ana crown plaza osaka, part of the intercontinental hotel and resorts chain. the reception, lounge
and restaurant are located behind metal screens which are part of the new lobby design, and are meant to
symbolize a new direction for the hotel. overall, the designs are meant to complement the character of osaka,
using a lot of glass, metal and stone to achieve a minimalist aesthetic.


the lobby has a rest area which is located under a large open cube, covered with a thin layer of bronze (right)


one of the main features is a metal sculpture located in a lounge space which is covered in walnut
