an individually designed rosette by earl marsh
november 22 – january 18, 2009
the hub opened their latest exhibition ‘guitars - made in britain played all over the world’ this past weekend.
the show is curated by the acclaimed musician gordon giltrap and features guitars by over thirty british
guitar craftsmen. in addition to an exhibition, the hub will also host a series of guitar concerts. the guitar
has become one of the most popular musical instrument and the examples on show in this exhibition
represent the highest level of craftsmanship. each one is custom made for the specific needs of its player.
these top quality specimens demonstrate the longevity of this craft and are further evidence to why guitar
making has been called the last cottage industry.
‘the guitar is a miniature orchestra in itself.’
