‘symbio’ is designed by eliumstudio for thomson teleclom. it is a communication device which integrates technological innovations with two main functions – a wireless VoIP (voice over internet protocol) phone and an internet radio. ‘symbio’ makes use of the fixed-line telephone at home. following the iconic shape of a telephone, the form is meant to fit comfortably in the hand, with the shape of the design adapting according to the positioning of the hand-set on the shoulder. it also provides stability when used hands-free and whilelistening to music. saint etienne biennale 08: 'symbio' telephone by eliumstudio for thomson telecom the telephone also acts as a radio and has an outlet to plug in your ear phones
