the ‘360’ is the design of francesco sommacal, a recent graduate from the faculty of design and art at the
free university of bozen – bolzano. the project aims to redefine extreme skateboarding through its innovative
design. the rider puts their feet into the two wheels and can steer the device by shifting their weight forward
or back. the rugged wheels allow the ‘360’ to move on dirt, grass, gravel and almost any other surface.
sommacal hopes the design will give snowboarders a better alternative for practicing in the summer months.
the design recently won the ‘red dot: luminary design award’ in singapore on november 28th.
