if clothing trends are any indication, we will see a lot of back to basic approaches in 2009. for clothing,
back to basics means taking inspiration from the very body the clothing covers. that’s right anatomy
and anatomical inspired designs are sprouting up on shirts, dresses and even socks. we have
spotted the concept in a number of places and have collected some examples to show. the first three
examples are commercially produced shoes and socks with bones, muscles and general anatomy
designs. on the other hand, the fourth and fifth designs are both hand made examples by passionate
anatomy fans. for more on anatomy, art and design check out the blog street anatomy.

OMG i love clothes, but i absolutely would not buy one of those.........that is way so uncool.
who had the idea =/ eww
Arico   01.07.09
Well can use it for Halloween i suppose!!!
aka_sha   01.07.09
Personally, I think that it's a great idea. All those people who wear those rib-cage jackets think that they're pretty awesome... so why not whip out the muscle-in-you-leg/foot sock?
Alana   01.07.09
AMAZING! I would definitely buy these if they were available online (via ebay, etc.)
kitty   01.07.09

Now, who we are on the outside matches who we are on the inside.
It's about time we started wearing our hearts on our sleeves.

Love it.

i just took a dump that honest to god smelled like cat shit - and i havent eaten cat food since 1991. i'm quite concerned about this, cause last time my boyfriend was kissing me, he pat me a few times on my lower back and i jacked my ass up in the air like i was in heat. am i turning into a kitten?
kathryn   01.16.09
I think this is all too cute! I would definately wear these tiems. Those shoes! I'm not realyl sure where I would wear them, but I would find somewhere appropriate!
d   01.16.09

I wish they didn't take the anatomical influence so literal.. It be interesting to see how someone would translate this into a design for clothing -be a little more creative and play around with the idea a bit. It just seems too.. easy, especially when the subject it's self is so intricate, and complex.

Except the shoes -they're kinda rad with the patch work.
