jo cope describes her work as conceptual garment and accessory design. this title is very befitting for
her sometimes odd but alluring designs. cope is based in england and graduated from the fashion
program at nottingham trent university. included here are images of her graduation collection from
2006 and a series of her accessories. these accessories include jewellery, like the ‘non-collar’ unisex
neckpiece and handbags which explore the interplay with the body like the ‘self-extension bag’.
these pieces push the boundaries of fashion design, blurring it into the realm of product design.
