'beehive chair' by christoffer angell
'beehive chair' created by designer christoffer angell was on display during
the stockholm furniture fair as part of the 'under construction' exhibition by
oslo national academy of the arts.
the chair inspired by bees angell chose to use hexagon structures for strength,
space and minimal use of materials is required.
'beehive' is cast in polyurethane foam, which - when subjected to the correct casting
process - will give a little and mould to the user's body when she sits on it. the surface
is untreated; once the structure is strong and functional, the bees have done their job.
