this delicate woven chair is the creation of the designers at japan’s leif.designpark. 'proto chair 01' is
a one off prototype as its name suggests. the design set out to explore complex form and functionality
in a minimal manner. the design uses a thin metal rod for its structure, which supports a woven seat pan
and back. the back rest floats to give flexibility and to add to the chair’s light appearance. the gap created
from the backrest design  can double as a holder for one’s belongings, further functionality with minimal
materials and form
