rachel postlethwaite is a young london based designer. one of her most developed designs is a decorative and
modular storage system that is completely customizable. the wall mounted ‘units’ began as an investigation
into memory and our connection to the past. the material language used in the design refers to this evolution
of memory over time. each piece is made with a rigid external structure made of powder-coated steel, while
a layer of felt lines the interior. in between these two shells are a series of thin parchments that are adorned
in text. the pieces create a pocket on the wall that can be customized to the size required.
