swedish company string launched a new bookshelf 'cell' designed by peter cohen.
with its paper-thin shelves and sleak appearance this high-tech shelving system seems
to float transparently in the room. you can fill it with as many books you can fit in the rack,
without a hint of bowing in its laminated steel shelves.

string furniture, founded by architect and designer nisse strinning, is known for its lightweight,
yet stable bookshelves 'string' and 'string plex'. first introduced in 1949, these are open
shelving systems with easy mountable side panels and shelves of different depths.
