archaeology of the future
designhuis, eindhoven
march 26 – may 31, 2009
later this month, designhuis will be showcasing a new exhibit focusing on trends curated by li edelkoort.
‘archaeology of the future’ is the first trend focused exhibit by edelkoort and aims to demonstrate
‘that trends are not a brief phenomenon, but are deeply rooted in our daily lives.’ in addition to her role as
chairwoman of the design academy in eindhoven and designhuis art director, edelkoort is also a recognized
trend forecaster. the exhibition will look at her research and observations on trends as forecast through
colours, materials and concepts that chronicle the roots and traces of the trends. a wide variety of design,
fashion, photography as well as images from edelkoort’s archive will be on show. the exhibition is currently
running at the insitut néerlandais in paris until march 8, 2009 (as pictured).
