959 launches collection of recycled seatbelts bags

'972' for those who want everything close at hand as well as a notebook
50 years since it first came into use the traditional seatbelt has found itself a new role
in life with the new 959 bag range. 959 has kept the idea of the seatbelt whilst transforming
it into a collection of bags made entirely out of material recuperated from scrap yards.
in its various models; 531, 581, 793, 972, 959 the design focuses on the relationship
between use value and aesthetic value of an object in an original way, giving seatbelts
a new social status - a daily accessory.
design and fashion come together allowing the indestructible material - polyester belts
to preserve its function – protection and to transfer this with all its connected values;
resistance, practicality and durability, protecting the contents of the bag.

I've seen this already in Buenos Aires, like 6 years ago, at the FADU (Facultad de Arquitectura, Diseño y Urbanismo), faculty of the Buenos Aires University. I think it was an exersise on one of the Industrial Design courses.
