revol-design: 'screw chair'

sitting on a bed of nails is not likely the most comfortable thing, but what about a bed of screws?
well revol-design has built such a chair and claims that it is surprisingly comfortable. their aptly
named ‘screw chair’ luckily has the sharp end of the screw embedded into scraps of douglas fir
wood. the pile of wood scraps form the base of the chair, while the seat and backrest is covered
in a sheet of screws. the chair uses a total of 3,726 drywall screws arranged in a neat grid.
while we are sure the chair wouldn’t hurt as much as a bed of nails, we will have to trust the
designers when they claim it's comfortable.
