studio makkink & bey: brazil influence meets brazil style - part 2

'kilin' chairs by sergio rodriguez for oca, (1973)

here is an update on a great exhibition at the gallery of pierre bergé & associates,
which currently presents furniture of several major brazilian designers
such as sergio rogriguez, jorge zalszupin or carlo hauner among others. the love for natural wood,
for comfort and the simplicity of shapes and respect for the environment are expressions of the national brazilan identity.

the curators linked brazilian vintage is to re-interpretations by the dutch studio makkink and bey.
their work is guided by recycling, science and poetry.
