this year lachaert & d'hanis present at droog some brand new pieces from their
'anamorphosis' series (2008/2009) at the milan design festival 09. there are 5 silver
bottles and cups. familiar forms, like the ones we use everyday at home, for water,
milk, sugar, but the precious material gives them an extra dimension.

anamorfose drawings of small precious birds threatened with extinction also refer to
the bird patterns on beautiful old china.

there is also a silver lock (silver lock, 2008/2009) with 7 keyholes. precious protector
of mysteries. puzzling object, seducing to unlock what wants to hide. magic number
of possibilities, but only one will grant us admittance. referring to our never ending quest
for the unknown, our unremitting longing for the land hiding beyond the horizon.
