this year, the annual furniture design award (FDA), organized by singapore furniture
industries council (SFIC), has received 637 submissions from 19 countries -
see here the best entries by students and young designers from singapore, indonesia, thailand, ...
shown at the international furniture fair singapore 2009 / 26th asean furniture show (IFFS/AFS 2009).

the seating surface of 'cop' is made of rattan rods, a low-cost material available in the region.
the stainless steel structure provides stability and can be modified to suit different environments.
