‘jersey’, 2007

ryan dart is a young american designer creating his own hand-made furniture. based in raleigh, north carolina,
dart transforms his sketches into reality inside his garage. dart has produced a few more polished designs
including two benches. ‘jersey’ features a gel-coated top, supported by walnut or cedar legs. his most recent
bench is ‘quarry’, a wooden bench made using a grid pattern. the horizontal and vertical pieces intersect and
create an undulating three-dimensional design that resembles stalactites or icicles.
