the injection moulded back rest of the armchair connects to a simple wood-construction
and on the one hand serves the chair's structure and on the other provides comfort and colour.

after 'miura' and 'myto' the 'monza' stackable chair embodies the further development of the
collaboration between german designer konstantin grcic and italian manufacturer plank.
in this chair central is the connection of the materials wood and plastic.

available in ash-wood and polypropylene in the colours black, grey-white,
traffic-red, oxide-red, yellow-green and light-blue.

I used to love grcic work but since one or two years he lost the freshness of is youth.Monza chair is not really uglly but not really beatifull. This chair is just nothing if it's not signed by the famous konstatin grcic !
I'm sorry to see such a boring project copy of wegner/morisson and bouroullec's....

looks rather like OMA & OPA then a MONZA chair !!
its really sad to see people descending down to a level of non-existing distinctiveness in terms of design. wow, they want to impress us by stating that the "central in this chair is the connection of wood and plastic" GUYS: tell it your omas and opas but dont continue bothering us !!

I just think this chair is amazing! It's simple and new! Never seen an armchair with this sort of infrastructure. I love it.

gut-thought with first glance: poor proportions, connections, & material interface.

looks like something that someone 'tried too hard' to make it simple & failed.
