stile bertone unveiled the mantide supercar designed by jason castriota yesterday at the 2009 shanghai
auto show. the new car is based off the chevrolet corvette ZR1 platform with a newly designed body.
american designer jason castriota who is known in car-design circles for the pininfarina p4/5, led the
car’s design team. the new mantide is fast and light, featuring aerodynamic aids similar to f1 cars and
a new body made completely from carbon fibre and magnesium. the car is said to be able to go from
0-60mph in 3.5 seconds with a top speed exceeding 200 mph. the design process was chronicled from
the beginning as ‘project m’ and more photos and videos can be seen on the website.

It looks great with an awesome aggressive stance - The only thing is the body side seems a little 'round' for the rest of the car - compared to the sketch.... The surface does create a more 'faster' appearance but doesn't seem sheer enough...more thoughts at AutoCritical
