animated knot is the screen for the 'aquatic color' installation by takahiro matsuo.
upon entering the display area, one is surrounded by an undersea image space, where
soft light traverses trough the dark and bubbles rise slowly. then, one come across
swarms of jellyfish flickering in the dark.

the flickering and motion of the interactive jellyfish are generated in real time trough
an algorithm, which applies the 1/f fluctuation theory and mathematical graphics extant
in the natural world. by harmonizing with the rhythm of a person's body, and stimulating
our sight and hearing, this installation is an attempt to deeply affect our physical senses.

I so much wish these works were available as onLine video.
Their beauty does seem to include light, as well as motion.
