new tokyo art beat tees by teppei kaneuji and ian lynam
new tokyo art beat tees by teppei kaneuji and ian lynam
tokyo art beat have released two new t-shirts for spring. one by japanese artist teppei kaneuji
and another by the american graphic designer ian lynam. both designs come in the tokyo art beat
colors of white, cyan and magenta as well as an alternative color scheme for each tee.

'white discharge' (outline/tokyo) by teppei kaneuji
elusiveness through it’s own continual transformation, scraped together from various images
disassembling and reassembling, where does tokyo end, where does it begin? kaneuji's design
is available in black body, silver & gold inks and white body, cyan & magenta inks.

kaneuji creates hitherto unknown forms and shapes using magazine cuttings, plastic items,
scrap wood and other readily available materials. his cream-like sculptures threaten to flow
away at any moment, and his installations resemble anatomical samples of newly
discovered organisms.

'modularly yours' by ian lynam
lynam's design is inspired by the work of world citizen and polymath designer/thinker
r. buckminster fuller, a blueprint for a modular life in tokyo. the t-shirt is available in green body,
with green & yellow inks and white body, cyan & magenta inks.

ian lynam is a graphic designer and writer living in tokyo. he runs a multidisciplinary design studio
that focuses on pan-cultural identity design, motion graphics, and editorial design. his most recent
book is parallel strokes, an inquiry into the crossroads of graffiti and type design. he writes for
idea magazine, néojaponisme, and a host of design books.
