acclaimed architect frank gehry produced his one of kind 'tuyomyo' large scale bench
in collaboration with emeco, in support of the hereditary disease research foundation.
the bench was unveiled for the first time during milan design week.

gehry expressed his principles for the bench; 'the form has to be free and light.
it must
be structural and at the same time poetic. and a little dangerous'.

the superlight bench was made with 80% recycled aluminium components using
aircraft manufacturing technology as well as hand craftsmanship.

the bench will be auctioned in may, proceeds of which will fund the leslie gehry brenner
award of the hereditary disease foundation (HDF).
