weltevree presents wheelbench, axechair, elementstair and tilestove

dutch product label weltevree was participating in the milan design week 09.
on display new work from dick van hoff, floris schoonderbeek and rogier martens.
weltevree was born out of the need to make these products accessible to all.

wheelbench designed by rogier martens

a mobile bench, made of ecologically preserved accoya wood with a built-in
wheelbarrow wheel. the surprising combination of familiar elements strengthens
the active ‘exterior feel’ of the bench. this is a bench you can easily manoeuvre

axechair designed by floris schoonderbeek

a chair made of wood and cast aluminium. a surprising use of existing axe handles by
swedish company gränsfors. the unambiguous and powerful joints are directly
derived from the way axes are made.

with its modular, flexible possibilities and heights

wood-burning stone stove designed by dick van hoff

weltevree’s first product is the stonestove by dick van hoff, a classic from 1999
that had never before been produced for the consumer market. authentic use
of materials in a robust design. steel interior encased by concrete elements.
with a visible wood fire in an industrial stove, the stonestove is a modern translation
of a traditional heating concept: long-lasting and comfortable.
