the fifth annual picnic at the tempio river architecture workshop took place in sicily, italy from may 5th to
10th. the workshop was run by its creators studio nowa in the tempio river valley, san michele di ganzaria,
sicily, italy. mario lupano, marco navarra and alessandro rocca served as this year’s curators, working
around the theme ‘building texture’. this theme covered the overlap between the different design and art
disciplines. participants took part in a series of ateliers and laboratories to create on-site buildings and
projects in this unique area of sicily.
