jun aoki: 'thin beam' for tokyo fiber 09 senseware exhibition

'thin beam' by jun aoki
architect jun aoki designed 'thin beam', an ultra long cantilever lighting fixture for
the tokyo fiber 09 senseware exhibition held at the triennale design museum, milan.
made from 'torayca' produced by toray industries the product brings out the characteristics
of this material. carbon fiber provides strength under tension and is very light. stretching
across the room, the lighting fixture illuminates more than enough space for five chairs
side by side, even when the chairs are spread far apart.
