josh owen: '8125' for monroe calculators

josh owen studio has designed the new 8125 model for the calculator company, monroe.
'8125' is designed for commercial use, and expands on the functionality associated
with previous monroe models. the 8125 is an update to an established technology
and is meant to be considered a modern heirloom.

when designing the calculator, the notion of the 'throwaway' calculator philosophy was considered.
the new 8125 has a reduced desktop footprint of 30% with improved usability.
the bag packaging the '8125' is reusable, and upon purchasing a new 'adding machine',
monroe asks that you pack your old calculator in the new calculator's box and return it to monroe
who will handle the proper disposal.

I can't remember the last time I saw a calculator that plugged into an outlet... But I do suppose it would prevent you from losing it!

Thank you for featuring the Monroe 8125. If I may correct one statement, it would be appreciated. Monroe was established in 1912 and throughout our history we have never believed in the philosophy of disposable calculators. The 8125 is no different and has been carefully engineered to provide years of dependable use. Thanks again. Richard Roberts, CEO, Monroe Systems for Business, Inc.
