tokujin yoshioka designed the 'lake of shimmer' installation for the swarovski
stand at baselworld 2009, the largest watch fair in the world.
16,000 octagon shaped mirrors have been attached to a wall measuring 9 by 8 meters.
a computer controls the angle of each of those mirrors to create patterns. the crystal-like
small mirrors flutter in the wind like sunlight
reflects on the surface of a lake.

the designer has experimented with forming new natural structures for which he can apply his crystallization process including sculpture and painting.
