starck with ballantyne fashion collection - 'dress'
philippe starck is launching a new fashion collection in collaboration with italian cashmere
company ballantyne.
the starck with ballantyne line will comprise of 30 pieces each for men and women.
the materials and garments have been developed and researched at the ballantyne
workshop in scotland. wet-out cashmere dominates, and is combined with technical fabrics.
lighter garments are made with silk linings and for colder seasons, jackets and coats are
equipped with 'teddy-bear' detachable waistcoats, whose pockets are deliberately camouflaged
to maintain the purity of the silhouette. hoods on knitwear and on outwear, as well as
fluorescent colors of some pieces.
the collection will hit stores in october.
