french designer nicolas le moigne is currently exhibiting at the nextlevel galerie in paris.
his first solo show entitled 'materia' features objects devoted to the combination of art
and handcraft, highly refined objects using materials such as wood, glass, clay and steel.
the exhibition will be on view until 25th july, 09.
nicolas le moigne was the winner of designboom's RE-think + RE-cycle competition in 2005.

he lives and works in lausanne, switzerland.

each objected is based on the notion of presenting art or design in galleries and museums, exhibited on a pedestal or plinth, serving to enhance the designs' simple forms and deliberate choice of dimensions.
nicolas le moigne: podium vases
reminiscent of the way objects are presented in galleries around the world, the series features three hand-crafted vessels that are displayed as if they were of social and historical importance.
