designer, co-founder and design development director of established & sons sebastian wrong is exhibiting his first solo show ‘a buggs life’ at the mayfair gallery inside established & sons limited. the lighting installation, features a mass of ‘buggs lights’ – the limited edition lights suspended from within a built tunnel, with viewing windows, spanning the gallery space.

wrong has used the iconic glass opal sphere and edited it with grinning mouth and teeth, merging modernism with popular cultural imagery, corrupting the sacred orb with a golden-toothed smile. the materials used for the works are varied; the spheres are hand blown opal glass and acid etched. the gold tooth is produced through an enameling process in which it is painted then fired onto the glass, the ‘key line’ detailing around the teeth is hand painted enamel. the exhibition will run till 19th august, 09
