smarin: mobile shadows


organic shaped clouds

these shadow mobiles by smarin, sway like clouds in the sky. they come in a range of sizes
and are moved gently by the wind. made of pure linen voile or silks, their translucency allows
light to filter through, casting shadows on the surrounding environment.

this is a very forced design concept . hardly usable. it hardly makes any sense tell me the exact use of the object . its not even a proper showcase.

I was in a bad mood today before I came across these objects of beauty and whimsy. I think they are great---the kind of idea that I wish I had thought of. The livingstones that are shown are equally fabulous. If I could afford these I would buy them.

do all objects need to be usable in the tangible sense? I find the design very beautiful and tranquil and would love to have one in my house; the use of shadows and outer/inner lights would give it such a beautiful exposure to the room and the design itself! love it!
