designboom talked to lin about his unique collaborations with many of the top names in contemporary
design.

how does working with designers differ from working with regular clients?
designers are more confident with their own aesthetic tastes and visions, so naturally, they become an
integral part of the design process. the outcome becomes more of a dialogue if the client is a designer,
and may I add, all the more interesting.

what has been the hardest part of opening your own studio?
the hardest part is not knowing how I'll ever go on vacation again...

new artecnica website

where do you think the future of graphic design is headed?
as digital content continues to grow, we need more thoughtful and innovative ways to present and give
shape to it. design will be more about creating systems in which content can play itself out in. systems
that offer flexibility, expandability and variety within a set of controlled parameters.

what projects do you have in the pipeline?
the studio is currently working on a comprehensive signage and identity design for the queens museum
of art with grimshaw partners and map.
