'copper cabinet' by david derksen
designer david derksen has sent us images of his 'copper cabinet'. constructed completely
with 0.1mm thick copper foil, the connections are soldered together. all bends in
the material give the structure its stiffness and paper like appearance.

You suck. It's beautiful.
Copper is vastly underused as design material, not endangered, and presents a self transforming surface over time. I'm happy to see someone use it instead of other "luxury" materials, and would gladly donate your copper plumbing to his next project.

Nicely done, the copper colour is a bit hectic however and unavoidably references pots & kettles. A little patination however could give it a completely delicious verdigris.
