vladimir rachev: new works

'shaver'

designer vladimir rachev is a young designer based in london and a frequent participant in designboom
competitions. you may recognize his entries from the 'dining in 2015' competition or the more recent
'beyond silver'. rachev has a number of other designs including the humourous 'phone' and 'shaver'
prototypes that are hybrid objects. he has also designed a series of three stools called 'perch'. this series
is intended for outdoor use and recalls the form of a tree branches, turning the user into a perching bird.
other works include a minimal chair designed for one specific seating position and a set of seating that
modifies a standard dining chair in unusual ways.

rachev will be exhibiting many of his projects at TENT london this fall, including his 'soil cutlery'
originally designed for designboom's 'dining in 2015' competition.
