olga chair

due estudio is the san salvador, el salvador based studio of designers harry and claudia washington.
the young up and coming studio already has a solid repertoire of furniture designs including the olga
and l’astiko chairs. both chairs was designed based with the theme haute couture, whereby the seating
line uses the same structure, dressed with different materials and techniques. the olga features the
common stainless steel structure with a leather cover made by el salvadorian saddle makers. the back
was designed to resemble a corset and helps support the sitter. the l‘astiko chair is part of the same
series and uses recycled rubber inner tubes from old tires as a seat cushion.
