‘st sebastian’ hors d’oeuvre plate by georgi djongarski
bulgarian sculptor georgi djongarski has sent in images of his work ‘st sebastian’. it is made of porcelain which consists of gold decoration and gold arrows. the golden blood where you put insert the appetizers is represented by the roses – reminiscent to the five wounds of jesus, the dead doves of the early ended life and the thorns related with the crown of thorns. after using the toothpicks (arrows) you can stick them into the saint’s body.
