'hack chair prototype' by ronen kadushin

'hack chair' by german designer ronen kadushin is one piece of laser cut 6mm
aluminum and hand bent. the outcome is stable and even sort of comfortable with
its flexible back.

his chair is an open design which CAD design files can be freely downloaded, copied,
modified and produced by anyone without special tooling.

Love it ronen! espesialy the fact that you just twist all the pieces around and they slot together. I think some tweaking on the ergonomics and making sure the rear legs don't rake forward would be its finishing touches.

made from arranging pieces of wood into a sandbox and letting molten aluminium overflow into the spaces they left, this object is an experiment with unforeseen results about giving up control on the production process.
